CHS Musicians Chosen for All-State Festival

Five Carmel High School musicians were chosen to participate or serve as alternates in the 2026 NYSSMA All-State Performing Ensembles in Rochester in December.
"The All-State bands, chorus, orchestra and jazz ensembles are honors groups comprised of the top students from school music departments across the state," The New York State School Music Association says. 
Parker, a junior, was selected to sing jazz and serve as an alternate jazz drummer. Miles, also a junior, was invited to play the saxophone. Thomas, a tenor, Sean, a drummer, and Chloe, who plays clarinet will all serve as alternates at the festival which brings together the best high school musicians in the state. 
"I'm super excited," Parker said. "It's a chance to play with a bunch of talented musicians, work with musicians from incredible schools and to socially network."
